Brooklyn Beckham Engaged to Nicola Peltz
While quarantine has proven difficult for many celebrity couples, young love is still very much alive, with Brooklyn Beckham, 21, announcing his engagement to actress Nicola Peltz, 25, on Instagram on Saturday.
“Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes,” Beckham, eldest son of David and Victoria, wrote in his caption, alongside a picture of the two. “I am the luckiest man in the world.
I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day.” Peltz posted the same picture on her Instagram, writing “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side,” and thanked Beckham’s younger sister, Harper, for taking the photo.
Further proving it’s a family affair, Victoria Beckham chimed in on Instagram with her congratulations, writing “we could not be happier. Wishing you so much love and a lifetime of happiness.”
Peltz, a 25-year-old actress, commented on the post, writing: "I'm so lucky to call you mine."
Brooklyn Beckham's fiancee also shared the same photo on her own Instagram to announce the news. The pic shows the pair dressed in their best as they lean in for a kiss. Brooklyn Beckham is wearing a navy blue suit while Peltz is dressed in a long, bright yellow dress.
The pair first went public as a couple in January. And thanks to his famous mom Victoria's own Instagram post, it's clear his parents are thrilled by the news.
Brooklyn Beckham previously dated actress Chloe Grace Moretz on and off for about a year.
The couple first started dating back in October 2019 and became Instagram official in January.
While the happy couple is likely planning to celebrate the exciting news with their friends and family when the coronavirus restrictions lift, they have not released any more details about the wedding. But after Victoria played such an important role in their engagement photo, perhaps the fashion designer will also be involved in creating Nicola's wedding dress!
The couple have been together for nine months, and were spending lockdown together at Peltz’s home in the US, however they recently returned to the Beckham’s family home in the Cotswolds.
Brooklyn Beckham is the eldest of David and Victoria's four children, and is a keen photographer, having shot images for the likes of Vogue and Burberry.
Peltz's film credits include The Last Airbender and Transformers: Age of Extinction. She has also worked as a model for the likes of Alexander Wang
